Harvey Crawley
Harvey was born to the parentage of Abraham and Josephine Crawley. He was born on August 4, 1902 in Social Circle, Georgia. He attended school in Social Circle. His family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia area when he was a young man. He was a very obedient young man and he loved his mother and father and siblings dearly. He was very studious and loved reading and learning all he could. Harvey had a remarkably keen memory.
Harvey met the love of his life, Miss Evergreen Harris, and they were married and had nine children: Ruby Nell, Edna Irene, Gladys Amelia, Roosevelt, Catherine Elizabeth, Clifford, Mary Ann, Josephine and Sandra Faye..Harvey was a family oriented person, he was always willing to do whatever he could to help take care of his family and to help others. Harvey worked as a laborer for many years. One of the joys of his life was farming and you could always find him in a lovely vegetable or flower garden.
Harvey accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was a member of the Knox Chapel Baptist in Social Circle, Georgia. Deacon Harvey lived a wonderful Christian life and was truly a Bible Scholar. He is lovingly missed by his all who know him. Harvey lived to be ninety-nine years (99) old departed this life on December 23, 2001. He was a friend to all.
